Of course for the past few years, the film festival was the only way to see a movie in Hoboken but there's a groundbreaking today, via Hoboken 411, at 14th and Adams for a new five-screen theatre, "the first movie theatre Clearview has ever built from the ground up," as the town tries their luck on the other end of town after Hudson Street Cinemas closed in the fall of 2005. We're guessing, by Mayor Roberts's appearance there this morning, he's not distancing himself from this the way he has from this year's festival.
