Jersey City loses a coffee shop, gains a chocolate shop.

That we had no idea Cafe Ritazza at the Goldman Sachs building across the street from us closed down two weeks ago after two years there, is probably one among the reasons it shuttered. The cafe faced an empty lot and was at the bottom of the Exchange Place waterfront and never caught the attention or business of Au Bon Pain up the street. The chain only opens in corporate buildings and universities and seemed entirely dependent on Goldman for their success.

Newport Mall continues its twenty-year trip to the middle ground as there's now a Godiva chocolatier replacing a low-end jewelry store on the second floor.
