More details on the Whole Foods not opening at Liberty Towers.

20080713libertytowers A few days ago New York's Sixth posted a rumor about a supermarket opening downstairs in Liberty Towers. While it's been acknowledged the vacant retail space is too small to conjure the necessary magic for a Jersey City Whole Foods, we've just learned there won't be any chain supermarket moving into the space. We've been informed it's an independently owned deli / salad bar akin to Canova at 30 Montgomery which seems like greater competition for the offerings at the pharmacy and Green Cow than a greater selection for the local residents.
