We take seriously reader feedback whether it relates to our real blog or our fake Twitter account. Lately it seems @Restaurantgirl loses as many followers as she gains and we must admit, it lost its way as the above wake-up call from Chris McBride of Savory Cities recently reminded us. Yet truth be told we don't want to let her go. Not to insult Danyelle Freeman - we never ever say anything about the woman herself and we won't - but this character she created only to abandon it in the abyss of retreaded daily foodbloggery is drowning in untapped potential and it's a sin we cannot abide. So we started a new blog to see if we can do the RG justice. In the lead-up to her Gourmet Glossary we launched The Gourmet Glossary as a fictional diary of her highs and lows in writing a book. Already we've given her a clever younger cousin, a new puppy named Nougat, a swimmer's body and a lifelong love of Arby's and REM. Much like her own reviews, this is young adult fiction at its best.
