Somehow despite a scandal in which 100 too many street vendor permits have been issued, another new truck has arrived for lunch hour at Exchange Place. Now parked between the Lucinda Taco Truck and Nick & Peri's is Jiannetto's Pizza & Catering, a NYC based truck - with a new purple Jersey City DOH permit pasted up on the outside - serving the most expensive mobile eats in town with dishes priced between a $2.75 Grandma slice ($19 for a full pie) to a $7.50 Penne Vodka or Baked Ziti. When we checked in yesterday no one was in line at the pizza truck while a line was still growing for Lucinda at 2pm and it was nearly sold out for the day.
