Taking a break from writing about Jersey City lunch trucks for a day, we thought we'd catch up with what's going on across the river. Will Goldfarb came back big this year selling liquid nitrogen online and pulled pork on Wall Street but now that the summer sun's set on Battery Park and Picnick is closed up for the season, Goldfarb is back in Bali. The breakout success of two month old Picnick Smoked must have been enough for him as the business is now solely in the hands of Kevin Pomplun. That means no liquid nitrogen milkshakes anytime soon unless of course you'd like to try your hand making them at home.
UPDATE: To clarify what's written above. We said 1.) Picnick is closed for the season. 2.) Will Goldfarb is in Bali. 3.) Will Goldfarb is no longer involved in the preparation of food or day to day operations of Picnick Smoked leaving it in Kevin Pomplun's hands. No one disputes this! No controversy! And we like Kevin! Everybody calm down and get yourselves some liquid nitrogen ice cream at Lulu & Mooky's.
