So this is sort of funny. Do you remember when back in July, Josh Ozersky then at Grub Street announced the line-up for the Dumplings & Dynasties seminar and banquet taking place next weekend? He failed to digest the best bit before him, the name of Susur Lee's new restaurant in the Thompson LES hotel - Shang. We noticed it and through the unparalleled editing of Amanda Kludt who took note just as we did, our post about it found its way onto Eater, and before we knew it the hotel PR contacted us, and now look, we're jumping into the deep end of the hotel's unfilled pool with our first, deeply probing, comically brief and retrospectively RestaurantGirl-quality Q&A with star Canadian chef Susur Lee.
